I’ll have to try the Chic-Fil-A sauce, but I thought their sauce had barbecue sauce in it.

You can add barbeque sauce to this if you want. You might try the recipe as is first than add it.

I was laughing at your comment Crystal trying to remember the last time I heard angels sing over a recipe but after laughing at you I remembered just this last weekend I tried a new cookies recipe that when I tasted it I thought I had “died and gone to heaven” and the name of the recipe was Caramel “Heavenlies” so I guess we must respond the same way to food. I was thinking about calling them mamma from heaven but after your comment maybe I should call them angel cookies. : )

I have made Caramel Heavenlies for years, never thought of calling them anything else. Just wish they had a low calorie version.

So true Linda. I wish they had low cal on some many things but seems like all the good stuff is always high cal. : )

Does it matter what kind of vinegar you use?
Reply
Jill
White vinegar. Most of the time if a recipe – especially older recipes – if they call for vinegar it is usually white vinegar. If it is another kind it will state the kind.

Chic Fil A sauce has bbq sauce in it. That’s what gives it a slightly smoky flavor. It’s mayo, honey, Dijon mustard, and bbq sauce.

This looks real good too, as Heather said about the bbq sauce. Many of the ex employees online have said a squirt of BBQ SAUCE does it. I Just made some for some little smokies and i used a bit of bbq sauce for sweet and tang.
More people were saying add the BBQ than not. I finally was on vacation in another state. My son pulled into Chick-Fil-A Sauce i could not believe it (I never could find one in our state). He told the girl i make the sauce but had never been to their restaurant WOW HOW SWEET SHE GAVE ME A BAG OF A FEW HANDFULS OF SAUCE PACKS! So good! GREAT NEWS WE are supposed to get a new restaurant near our mall in OREGON, Chick-Fil-A HOPE IT HAPPENS! Thx for this page and the site really fun!

The original recipe (I happen to live in the area that the sauce was made in batches every day before it was mass packaged) used cole slaw sauce and bbq sauce. I was given the recipe by one of the original makers of the sauce, but I could never get it to taste quite the same as theirs 🤷🏻♀️
